SHINJO KAMEAYAORI

新庄亀綾織

Known as "The Mythical Textile,"
A handwoven silk fabric whose legacy now lives on in the castle town.

"Shinjo Kameayaori" was born in the castle town of the historic Shinjo Domain,

It is a silk fabric that has been passed down through the generations.

The traditional "twill weave" allows for a delicate variety of woven patterns.

It is a unique weaving method that requires highly advanced weaving techniques.

These techniques produce the finest handwoven silk fabric.

After weaving, the fabric is refined to remove impurities.

With a supple texture and elegant luster,

Kameayaori's main feature is its soft texture.
